“As humans we have a deep connection with water. We are made up of it, we play in it , we cannot live without it, yet in today’s world too much water, or in some cases the lack of it, can destroy us. Given our island situation in the North West Atlantic, in Ireland we are particularly exposed to water and its impact on us. I wanted to dramatise this connection using more traditional silversmithing skills that we’ve always had here in Ireland to create beautiful fluid pieces of silver jewellery typical of my contemporary statement style.”
